Effective 6 September 2026. Market Brief is an open-source research tool from Liquidity Lab.

The browser app

No account, portfolio upload, broker connection, remote analytics service, advertising pixel, or tracking cookie is used. Clicking Build my brief sends requests directly to the three public Seiche and Undertow source URLs described in our coverage file. Those providers and the hosting service can receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and request time under their own policies. Fetches are bounded and occur on request, without background polling.

Optional local storage

Remember on this device stores the compact brief in your browser's local storage to compare a later check. It is off until you choose it. Unchecking it or clicking Forget saved brief removes that baseline. The app does not upload it. Export JSON and Copy brief run only when you click them; you control what happens to the exported data.

Sharing a brief

Sharing is your choice. Copy preview and Save image create a small dated excerpt from the selected public observations. Saved comparison values and history are excluded. A shared link contains only an allowed topic and a short source label such as share or partner; it opens the latest-view page, not a historical snapshot. Market values supplied in a URL are not loaded. Opening Telegram or the system sharing menu sends the selected excerpt and link to your chosen sharing provider under its policies. This app cannot confirm message delivery.

Optional local activity log

Keep a small activity log on this device is off by default and separate from your saved comparison. If enabled, it stores daily counts of completed checks, copied previews or links, sharing intents, downloaded images, and source-link opens for the most recent 35 UTC days, trimming older counts when the app is opened or used. If you never reopen the app, browser storage remains until you clear it. It also keeps the consent day and one allowed entry label. No market values, comparison history, identifier, full URLs, or exact event times enter the log. Recording starts when you opt in; earlier actions are not added. Unchecking the option deletes the log. If storage is blocked, recording stops and the app explains how to clear site data.

You can download and inspect the activity report. Nothing is uploaded automatically. If you choose to attach it to GitHub feedback, the issue and attachment are public under GitHub’s policies. Device counts do not identify people or establish total users. Sharing intents do not prove a message was delivered.

Publisher embeds

The optional website embed loads app files from GitHub Pages and fetches the same public sources only after the reader clicks Build or Refresh. It has no local activity log, storage, background polling, or parent-window telemetry. A publisher may apply its own website privacy practices. Loading a link preview or an embed can expose ordinary network information to its host.

The Python helper and AI hosts

The Python helper calls fixed public HTTPS sources. It writes an output or comparison file only when you request one. It does not include an analytics service. If you run the skill in an AI assistant, that assistant's processing, storage and subscription terms apply. The optional Financial Evidence MCP server is an existing separate service; see its privacy policy. Installing through a marketplace or the skills CLI can send installation telemetry under that provider's policy.
